If you're an online marketer or entrepreneur, chances are that you've heard about Hormozi's event, and likely that you've watched it, too (if you're smart at least.)
It was a banger.
Now, I've seen lots of people having trouble with his delivery, and some other things I'll discuss here.
I even saw some comments talking about how he is making money from the shipping of all things.
For me, this is kind of hard to believe.
I mean, he left so much money on the table that he could monetize (not really left on the table, he will get that money long term, but you know what I mean).
Yet, people say that shipping prices were much higher than usual (international at least) and that he's making money from that.
I, for one, wonder why would someone who cares so much about his brand (and is making money in a totally different way) risk a lot by getting a few mill (a small amount for him) from deceiving his customers about the shipping of all things?
I just find it odd that people believe this.
Have you seen people talk about this, what are your thoughts on this?
Anyhow, the second part I've seen people complain about was the webinar-style approach after which he had nothing to sell.
Not gonna lie, the way he delivered that part, and coming from him, it was really weird at parts, at least I felt a bit weird watching him (I was still ready to buy in case he sold, haha.)
The energy was a bit off, and the thing felt a bit off-brand.
Now, I don't believe this was to mock marketers and webinars as many people said.
Coming from that background, I personally don't believe he would do such a thing.
It was though, probably a bit of parody, a bit of dramatic demonstration, mixed with actually getting people to watch what he delivers for free.
He gave so much for free for over 2 years, it was also pretty interesting seeing comments of people getting pissed if he is to sell something ONCE.
Even with him not selling (courses and stuff) people were still upset.
So here's one of the lessons for you-
Whatever you do or don't do, you can't make everyone happy.
Back to the topic now.
I think he is changing the way we are gonna have to market and deliver value nowadays.
I don't, however, think you should try and copy his business model, because he DOES make money, just in a different way; we're simply not in the same vehicle as him.
We still need to sell.
Be that as it may, there are lessons to take away from all of this on how to sell that I'll be sharing with ya in the future.
A lot of things I learned from him (and that have been happening online lately) got me to rethink my own approach to some things in business.
On a similar note, I already dove into the book, and saw some things I can implement right away, as well as change in my business.
Have you started reading it already?
I'll keep you posted my key takeaways as I go through it.
And, in the meantime don't forget, as always, I'll be cheering for your success.
